In Nursery 2, we have been learning about people who help us. We have been learning about the school cooks who serve us our lovely food and who taught us the importance of clean hands when working with food. We made our own chefs hats and had to recognise our own name before we coloured it in. We made our own fruit kebabs for snack one day and they were delicious. We role played in the kitchen making lots of delicious treats for our teachers. We even had a chef come and visit. She told us it is very important to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. This term in PE, the children have been focusing on developing two key skills: jumping and landing on two feet, and balancing across a beam using their “airplane arms.” Through a variety of fun activities, the children have practiced jumping through hoops, jumping like different animals such as frogs, balancing across stepping stones, and carefully crossing beams. These exercises have helped to improve their coordination, strength, and confidence. They have had a great time mastering these skills!
