This term in Reception, we are diving into the fascinating world of minibeasts! 🐛🦋
Through our learning, the children are discovering that change and growth take time. To bring this to life, we welcomed our very own class caterpillars… and guess what? They have already made their cocoons! We can’t wait to watch them transform into beautiful butterflies. We have been writing a diary to record their process and to help us understand their life cycle.
Along the way, we have explored patterns, made crafts, and our learning has also included lots of hands-on exploration. During free flow, the children have been getting a little messy with soil and mud while searching for minibeasts, developing their curiosity and love for the natural world.
