Holy Mary celebrated Science week last week, where the children participated in lots of fun Science activities. The topic of the week was ‘Plants’ and the children all conducted a science experiment to explore and understand plants a little better. In Year 1 they did an experiment to see how water moves through plants; in Year 5 they conducted an experiment to see if fertilisers affect the growth of a plant. The children in each year group were also given a famous botanist to research, and the children produced some fantastic powerpoints and posters.
