The British Sixth Form: A Levels Explained<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Academic Pathway<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All of our Year 12 pupils journey toward the completion of a set of Advanced Level subjects (A levels).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With their A Level certificates our pupils can apply directly to top UK universities, to public and private universities in Madrid, and to leading English-medium universities across Europe including The Netherlands, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland, France and Germany.<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

With these qualifications, our pupils can access prestigious institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, UCL, King\u2019s College, Manchester, Edinburgh, LSE, ICADE, CUNEF, Instituto de Empresa, Aut\u00f3noma, Complutense, Polit\u00e9cnica, Carlos III, and many others worldwide. The options are varied and plentiful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personal Guidance<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Equally significant is the focus on each student\u2019s future. Guidance on subject choices and the best possible pathways to achieve their personal ambitions begins early and continues throughout Sixth Form.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For our existing students, this guidance begins in June of Year 11 and continues throughout their time in Holy Mary Sixth Form, with personalised advice and support via our tutor programme and one-to-one meetings with our University Guidance Counselor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An essential part of this process is understanding what students can offer a university community outside of their academic courses and helping them expand their extracurricular achievements<\/strong>. This includes access to volunteering, community service, and academic enrichment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside this, our Sixth Form students, Head Students, and House Captains chair the Student Council, participate in fundraising initiatives, and lead house competitions \u2014 all of which offer multiple opportunities to develop their leadership skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
