In Nursery 1 we are learning which animals live on the farm and which products they provide us with. We had fun making our own cow puppets, creating our own muddy footprints and then washing and cleaning our dirty cows. Having learned that the cow produces milk, our little learners turned into little farmers for the day and `milked`the cows. They loved it!
Nursery 1 also enjoyed some messy play when learning about sheep. We learned that our clothes and material around school and the house are made from wool. Nursery 1 watched some short clips of farmers shearing sheep before trying it for themselves.
They enjoyed shearing sheep with shaving foam and also creating their own «Baa Baa Black Sheep» with blow painting after learning the Nursery Rhyme.
