Over the course of the year each child in Reception has the opportunity to take Mr Wonder (our class mascot) home for the weekend. The children have to bring in Mr Wonder’s diary with a few pictures and sentences explaining their weekend adventures with Mr Wonder. The children are expected to present the pictures and sentences to their class and we encourage them to speak clearly, loudly, to look at their friends and teachers, and to use full sentences. The children really enjoy this activity and they are super excited to find out whose turn it is to take home Mr Wonder each weekend.
