The children in Reception have been learning all about Pirates! They learn what clothes they used and the special words they say such as “Ahoy!” and “Matey!”
To celebrate the end of the topic, the children came to school dressed as pirates and mermaids! They went on a treasure hunt as they had to complete simple challenges such as answering questions about pirates, and physical activities like walking the plank! At the end we found the X that marks the spot where we found the treasure! Inside the treasure there were gold coins and gold bracelets that the children had previously made.
What a great way to wrap up our topic and review everything that we have learnt!
