Primary Public Speaking Competition

At Holy Mary we place a lot of importance on presentation skills to prepare our children for the future. Every year we hold a Public Speaking Competition for all children from Year 1 to Year 6 to help develop their ability to stand up in front of an audience and present their work. 

This year the children were given the task to create a presentation based upon someone that they admire and to outline the values that the person displays. We had fantastic presentations that ranged from Christopher Columbus to Mother Teresa. The children were all very brave to stand up in front of their classmates and deliver their presentations. However, only one child from each class was chosen to move to the final in which they presented in front of all children from Year 1 to Year 6!
