The children in Reception are learning new letter sounds from Phase 1 of the Letter and Sounds program. Throughout these first weeks of school the children have been revising sounds from set 1 such as s, a, t, p, i, n through fun and practical activities. They have also been working on reading individual sounds and learning how to form these letters using special ‘froggy legs’ (correct pencil grip) and writing the letters in one fluid motion.
