As a part of our Science Week, Year 1 went on a trip to Huerta Montecarmelo. The children started the day off by having a guided tour of the huge plot of land where they used their senses to explore the garden. Afterwards, the children planted their own sunflower seeds and discussed what a seed requires to healthily grow into a plant. The children were also allowed to eat some of the fruits which had been grown in the garden, such as strawberries and apples. They ended the trip by playing some plant-related games and had a lot of fun!
