Last monday 17th – Friday 21st October we celebrated Maths Week! This year was bigger and better than before as we had a whole full week dedicated to lots of different areas of Maths with the theme of ‘Mathematics Unites’. On Tuesday the children took part in a ‘Number’ carousel day where they moved around the classrooms taking parts in problem solving and number investigations. On Wednesday the children learnt about art that was linked to maths, such as Escher’s tessellation, and on Thursday we had a challenge day where the children learnt that Bees are actually good at Maths and created a fun mathematical dance based on Bees real life habits! In addition to all of this, we had a photo competition and we received some fantastic maths photos!
