Year 8 students have been studying biodiversity in science this term in preparation for their trip to the Gredos Centre in October.
As an example, we looked at a type of tarantula – the Chilean rose tarantula. We used the internet to do some research.
As a special treat, Mr. Pattenden brought one of his pet Chilean rose tarantulas in for us to look at. She is called Rosy and is 21 years old. She was raised from an egg. Here is a photo of us meeting her!
