On Monday 13th June, 4 bus loads of excited students chaperoned by term-weary teachers, swapped the secondary school campus for the sports facilities of ‘Valle de las Cañas’ in Pozuelo.
Our annual sports day ensued with energetic students and some enthusiastic teachers participating in track races, rounders, handball and football. The level of participation was high for the duration of the morning although, as they tell it in the best crime novels, ‘the mercury rose steadily’ and it got hot! At lunchtime we decided to seek the shade of the football pavilion for the final post-lunch sports session of the day.
The occasion was a resounding success, and ‘Concordia’ house participants should be congratulated for being the winning house team on the day!
