World Book Week!

This month, we celebrated World Book Week. Throughout the week, the children had an amazing time participating in different activities. The week started off with a storytelling performance on Monday and Tuesday. The children listened to different stories performed by actors using lots of costumes and props.

Then, Year 1-6 children wrote and illustrated a school story. Each class had the chance to add their fantastic ideas to the story and then draw pictures to illustrate the different parts. We can’t wait to share the final book soon!

Following this, the homework competition was a great success as all the children created their own potato book character before showing them off in school.

Finally, on World Book Day, it was fantastic to see all of the children dressed up as their favourite book characters. Throughout the week, it was a joy to see the children’s love for reading and books. What a magical week at Holy Mary!
