Year 1 has been learning about colours in Art. They learnt that the primary colours are blue, red and yellow and they made their very own Piet Mondrian paintings. He is a very famous artist who is known for using primary colours in his art work! They then learnt about how mixing colours with black and white can make them darker or lighter and they created an experiment in class to create their own artwork by mixing colours such as blue, purple or pink with different amounts of black and different amounts of white to see what colours were made! It was very fun!
