As Year 6 are moving up to Secondary School after the summer and Year 2 will move to our Junior School at Cinca, our Year 2 and Year 6 children have had lots of questions about coming back to school in September. We arranged a number of different transition activities to get ready for their big move!
Over the last 2 weeks, the Year 6 children have been working with different members of staff from the secondary team to ask questions, calm their nerves, and to look forward to this big milestone in their school lives.
During their sessions, the children prepared a number of questions for Ms Montoro, Miss George and Mr Needham to answer. They wanted to find out about new subjects that they would be learning, as well as understanding more about how to earn merits for good work. Finding out some of the ways that Secondary and Junior School will be different to Infant and Primary school made the children even more excited about September!
They also met next year’s form tutors. The children enjoyed finding out interesting facts about their new teachers. They even had a virtual school tour!
Back in their online classrooms, the children are now full of anticipation for the year ahead!
